System Software

System software in modern mechanical control systems supports wide areas of applications including assembly, packaging, printing, and manufacturing. With the advances of information technology, systematic design in such mechanical information systems is becoming increasingly important. System software lab is conducting researches on real-time, system software design in mechanical control systems. Research issues include flight platform software, motion control systems, human interface, and communication.
CubeSat Flight SW

A flight platform software for CubeSats, kFS supports spacecraft monitoring and control through ROS (robot operating system) and includes essential functionalities that facilitate satellite mission development in low-profile multiprocessor environments. It supports telemetry, housekeeping, time synchronization, inter-process messssaging, and real-time performance monitoring. It is being developed as an extension of TASTE, a model-based development tool, enabling automatic code generation in STM32  FreeRTOS.
